In the 11th chapter of Daniel and 17th chapter of Revelation are recorded cryptic descriptions of last day events that soon will unfold. As Christ explained, God doesn’t provide prophecies so we may specifically know the future, instead He provides enough detail so we may recognize fulfillment of prophecy:
“Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he].”
There are no shortage of diverse interpretations of Daniel 11 and Revelation 17. Is it even reasonable to think it’s possible to know which one is correct? Knowing that “strong delusion [2Th 2:11]” plays an important role is separating the wheat and tares; and knowing these delusion will nearly seduce “even the elect [Mar 13:22]”, is it not of utmost importance to understand these prophecies to avoid deception? According the 2Ti 3:16, the answer is, Yes:
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable”
